Privacy Policy

Minik CEO ("Minik") is a personal AI assistant for iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch that learns how you work, helps at the right moment and, when you ask, does the work for you. This policy explains what Minik looks at, where it is processed and who it is shared with.

1. What Minik looks at

Minik only uses the sources you allow. Each one can be turned off in Settings.

On iPhone

• Location: arrivals and departures, places you save
• Motion: activity type such as walking or driving
• Calendar, Reminders and, if you allow it, Contacts
• Apple Health: steps, exercise and heart-rate summary. Sleep data is never read.
• Type of ambient sound (only while the app is open; nothing is recorded)

On Mac

• The frontmost app, window title and a short summary of the open page
• An interest summary of the last 7 days of browser history. Banking, government, health portals and sign-in pages are excluded.
• Recent work in Git projects: repository name, commit count and message. Code itself is never read.
• Apple Mail: sender, subject and the first few lines
• Reminders, calendar and the song currently playing

2. What never leaves your device

• No audio is recorded. Ambient sound and speech are processed on-device with Apple's speech and sound recognition. Minik's spoken replies use Apple's on-device voices.
• Mac screen images go only to your own iPhone over an encrypted connection protected by a secret key. They are never uploaded to a server.

3. What is sent to the AI provider

To produce suggestions and answers, short summaries of the information above and the messages you write are sent to the AI provider you choose:

• Anthropic Claude (via Claude Code on your Mac or your own API key), OpenAI (your own API key) or Apple's on-device model. With the on-device model nothing leaves your device.
• Data is used only to produce that answer or job. Providers process it under their own privacy policies.

Minik never shares this information with third parties for advertising, profiling or sale. The app has no ads and no third-party analytics.

4. Jobs on your Mac (optional)

When you send a job with "Send to Claude" or the CEO desk, its text is passed to the relevant folder on your Mac and the job runs on your computer, under your account. Results come only to your own devices.

5. Storage and sync

• What Minik learns about you (profile, preferences, places, journal) is stored only in your iCloud account and on your devices. The developer has no access to it; we run no servers.
• API keys are stored encrypted in iCloud Keychain.
• You can view and delete what Minik has learned in the app. Deleting the app deletes its on-device data.

6. Purchases

Minik Plus is bought and managed through the Apple App Store. Your payment details are never shared with us; your device verifies the subscription with Apple and shares its status across the devices on your iCloud account. Cancel any time in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

7. Waitlist (website)

When you join the waitlist on minikceo.com, your email address, your optional price answer, language and country are stored in a private Vercel store in Frankfurt. They are used only to tell you when Minik launches and are never shared. Write to us to have them deleted.

8. Children

Minik is not directed at children under 13.
